I'm not sure what I have been doing at all lately actually. The time disappears so quick. I guess mostly I have been trying to get my life into some sort of routine, mostly for Beatrice, but also for me. I also started at the gym this week! So far, I have only been three times but I already feel great. I have all these happy endorphins running around my brain making me feel super happy. So even though I haven't done much sewing, I have done some other fun things. Last friday, my friend, Amanda came round with her little girl Tahlia. Tahlia and Beatrice are best buds. And we did a little photo shoot of the girls at home. We dressed them up in Beatrice's pretty little vintage dresses from granny and we set up some backdrops. And of course Beatrice's suffolk puff blankie was one of the backdrops. I am really impressed with the photos, there are so many beautiful shots, it will be hard to decide which ones to print for Beatrice's special baby album. It's funny, I spend all my day and night with Beatrice and then when she is sleeping, I spend a lot of my time just gazing photos of her thinking about how beautiful I think she is! Surely I can find something not Beatrice related to do in my spare time, can't I?!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-64532371171659229782010-07-07T20:45:00.004+10:002010-07-07T20:59:07.632+10:00it's been so long!
oops! it has been a month since last post. I wasn't meaning for time to slip away from me so quickly. I have thought to myself many many times over the last month that I have to do a post but then I have always followed that thought up with a reply something along the lines of "later".

The truth is, that I have just been feeling overwhelmed with everything and when I have had the time to sit down and blog, I just haven't felt like doing it. I've felt like sitting on the couch like a blob instead.

We have a temporary boarder living with us, and he is cool to live with, but it just means I have all this extra cleaning up to do and because he is in Beatrice's room, I now have nowhere to put her stuff and so I am constantly going in circles trying to find all her stuff. Getting up in the mornings and getting her fed, bathed and dressed is just such hard work and takes me twice as long as what it used to take me.

Plus, Beatrice has been doing all this growing up! In the last month, she has cut her first two teeth, learned how to crawl commando style and she has figured out there are other rooms in the house and she doesn't just have to stay in the loungeroom, so I have had to put the baby gate up between the dining room and kitchen. She has also learned how to clap and say "dad" and she can sit up as well. She has also decided that she doesn't have to sleep or nap. She refuses to sleep in her cot since we had to move her out of her room and she insists on sleeping with us. Such a big month!

Anyway, I can hear her whinging from the bedroom, so I'll wrap this up. I will endeavour to post more regularly again. And dusty, did you get your little dress yet? I posted it a few weeks back. I am really looking forward to seeing a photo of it or hearing your feedback about it. Even if it is negative feedback, so that I can change the pattern or scrap it all together.

I think I would like to make a little girl's poncho out of puffs next. What do you think? I have also decided that I am going to have a suffolk puff wedding dress and corsages for the bridesmaids using puffs and button holes for the men...that is, when steve decides to propose and all!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-63517215538374248652010-06-08T18:38:00.004+10:002010-06-08T22:00:50.120+10:00Suffolk Puff Dress
Here it is!

I guess this photo looks pretty much exactly like the last photo. but it is not the same! it is now completely finished! yay!

It was fun to invent and to make. It has 126 suffolk puffs. The two top rows are supposed to be like a band around the chest and the bottom 6 rows have two pleats, one in the front and one in the back to make it puff out like a skirt. It will be interesting to see how well it fits and hangs, so Dusty, I would love your feedback and maybe a photo so that everyone can see what it looks like when it is worn?

I am worried that it could look a little boxy because thats just how suffolk puffs hang when sewn together but then my sister pointed out to me that kids look cute in anything so It should be alright. She's right isn't she, you could dress a little kid in a plastic bag and he/she's look cute...not that I suggest you dress your children in plastic bags...kids and plastic don't mix!

For my next trick, I am going to try making a little kids plush ball using something like a soccer ball pattern. All out of suffolk puffs of course and with a little bell inside of it for Beatrice to play with.

Remember, if you want something original made for you out of suffolk puffs for a child, just send me a comment telling you what you want or describe your child (boy/girl/age/fave colours, etc) and I'll invent something for them.

This is not a competition, this is just something that I feel like doing, so if you ask, you shall receive. I will make a present for your child and post it for FREE! But I would like some feedback in return on how you think the item turned out, how it fit, any suggestions to make it better etc etc, and I would love a photo too of your child wearing it. I want to be able to use the photo on this blog and on etsy so please think about whether or not you really want me to use an image of your child on the Internet before you put in your order.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-17327297443835736682010-05-31T15:09:00.006+10:002010-05-31T19:32:49.855+10:00Suffolk Puff Dress Progress
I'm not going to be able to finish the suffolk puff dress in time to send it off today. I was just so close too.

I have the top and the skirt part finished and then I pinned them together to see how it was going to work and realised I had miscalculated how many puffs I needed so I have to sew another row of puffs onto the skirt and then join it to the top. I have pinned it together for the photo (minus the extra row that I need to join on to the back which you can't see).

It's a funny little dress to put together because you can't make curves easily out of suffolk puffs when they are joined together. If I knew a little girl who was just the right size, then I could try it on her and see how it is going to look properly, but alas! I have no such model. Now I know why the lady who made this dress called it the dress of doom! Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying making it, It is just not as straight forward as using regular fabric to make a regular dress.

I will take it with me on my trip to qld, that way I'll have something to do in the car. And Steve's mother is an ace seamstress so I will be able to ask her if she has any tips for making the dress hang nicely.

I have been daydreaming about all the little things I can make out of suffolk puffs for children while I have been sewing this little dress. I have so many cute ideas, in fact my brain has been getting a bit carried away. Beatrice is a bit too small for any of these things yet, so I'd like to make some things for some my new blog followers. If any of my followers have small children and they would like something made for them just comment on this post. You can suggest something that you would like made if you like or you can tell me how old your child is and whether it is a boy or a girl and I can suggest something for you. Of course, all of these little goodies are mostly experiments but I would like to be able to make some of these things to sell on etsy eventually so maybe we can do an exchange. You get something made for free for you in return for your constructive criticism and a photo of your little one modelling the item (preferably a photo that I can use on this blog and on etsy, so you would have to be sure that you want me to use a picture of your little one. I promise it will only be used for this blog and etsy)

And I want to thank people for their comment on this blog too. So thankyou to you if you have commented. I get really excited when I get an email saying I have a new comment. I have been trying to figure out how to reply to comments, I did have a fiddle around with Html code to enable me to do this, but the instructions I got off the net for doing this didn't work so I gave up very quickly. One day I'll have another go at it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-25291438929767196432010-05-28T16:16:00.005+10:002010-05-28T16:53:23.321+10:00Let The Dress Making Begin!
This post is for Dusty and Mia

I have been sewing up extra pink suffolk puffs all week and I took all the pink ones out of my stash so now I have a basket full of them to make up a pinafore dress for Mia.

All the pinks and reds look so good together that I have decided to make Beatrice a red and pink ball next using a plush soccer ball pattern with a little jingly bell inside.

I am going to make a start on the dress tonight, I'm just really hoping that the pattern in my head will work out nicely. I am going to experiment with a pleat in the front and back, but it might have the potential to end up looking a little boxy......It might also have the potential to end up too cool for words, we will just have to wait and see.

I am hoping to have it finished and posted by Monday because I will be going to Queensland for a week on Tuesday. You can see grumpy bunny testing it out, she doesn't look too pleased about it. Grumpy bunny doesn't like anything though. She is very picky.

It wasn't exactly hard to make this pillow case but I could certainly have made it easier for myself. I had wanted the suffolk puffs to be inset into a patchwork surround, which you can see I have done but I don't think the effect is that different to If I had have just made the top patchwork and then appliqued the puffs on. In the end, I had to sew three very uneven layers together, the back the patchwork front and a backing for the front which was a bit fiddly.

But I got there in the end and it is a pretty cool pillow case for a young girl I think. I originally pictured this pillow case with a trim all around the edge of colourful pom poms but I am so glad that I was too lazy to go to the shop to buy the pom poms because that would have ended in wailing and gnashing of teeth I think since I was already struggling with sewing all together into pillow case form.

I will also give Chloe a little beaded purse that used to be mine. It is very pretty and girly so I think she should like that, and inside it I have tucked some little colourful metal smiley face bell charms and three button badges that I made. What girl wouldn't be pleased with that haul, huh?Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-29312413549676241372010-05-22T11:59:00.006+10:002010-05-22T13:19:10.722+10:00Giveaway Day Winner!
Ok! the giveaway day comp is now closed and after much deliberation I have decided that Dusty, who suggested I make a girls pinafore dress is the winner.

Thankyou everyone for your entries and your great ideas. Problem is, I'm not sure what to make using them for my next project. I've been doing Internet searches and there are so many cute things that people have made using suffolk puffs but i just can't decide what I should make. So for my giveaway I am going to let you decide.

To be in the running for my giveaway, all you have to do is comment on this post what you would like made out of suffolk puffs just for you. It can be anything you want. I will choose the most unique/original/interesting/appealing project. I may even pick more than one project if I have trouble deciding.

Here are some ideas for you: doll blanket, clothing, child's vest, scarf, headband, corsage, toy, cot or bassinette bedspread, garland, wreath, cushion. I will even consider making a larger sized bedspread if you can come up with an original pattern for me, If I choose to make a bedspread for someone, that person will have to be a bit patient though because it will take me a while to make. Feel free to specify favourite colours or patterns if you like and you can provide pictures if you have something very particular in mind. Please try and be as creative as you can be as I am feeling uninspired lately.

I will post internationally and you can enter as many times as you like. And feel free to follow me if you are in to yoyos cos I'm new to blogging and would love to score some followers!

Good luck! By the way, how awesome is giveaway day?! and how happy does my little girl look in the pile of suffolk puffs?!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com143tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-62899708445829508802010-05-15T13:03:00.006+10:002010-05-15T13:34:12.047+10:00Etsy Store
I love love love Etsy but I have only dabbled as a seller a little bit (I mostly just buy things that I really don't need but which are beautiful and I can't resist). So now I have to actually do some work to get it all happening. I'm really looking forward to it. And, you guessed it, my store will be suffolk puff related.

I might add here too that I will be wanting to build up a following for this blog (sadly, I have no followers) and for my etsy store and so I will be using the May Giveaway Day to shamelessly promote myself and build up a following. If you become a follower though, I will, in return, be offering regular freebies and huge huge discounts on my Etsy stuff so it's a win-win situation!

Good luck on giveaway day!

Oh yeah, the photo today is of baby bee who is watching The Breakfast Club on TV and you can see part of my bedspread project on the coffee table.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-23804921173275675042010-05-09T23:15:00.003+10:002010-05-09T23:27:09.182+10:00I'm so excited!
I have been blog surfing again and have just discovered giveaway day. I am completely new to this but am as keen as anything to get in on the action. I have no idea what I will give away but I am 99.9% sure that it will be suffolk puff related. here is the link for you to check it out for yourself. I had been thinking for the last few weeks that I would like to do a giveaway like all my favourite bloggers do but I don't have a big following like those ladies, so if you happen across my blog via the giveaway day please follow me so that I can keep hosting giveaways!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-64305949392772788652010-05-07T11:46:00.004+10:002010-05-07T12:00:08.490+10:00blankie upgrade - or - my baby is getting big which makes me sad
wow, i just missed an entire month's worth of updates, but not to worry.

the suffolk puff madness continues, I have upgraded Beatrice's suffolk puff bassinette blankie to a cot sized one. The blankie is super cute but it is a sad occasion for me to be upgrading cos it means she is no longer a tiny bassinette sized baby :(

She really loves playing with her blankie and I wonder if it will still get played with since it will be a lot bigger and therefore heavier so it may not be so good as a toy anymore. I am sure she will play with it still and wrap her self up with it as she is apt to do with any blankie you give her, but little things like these cross my mind and make me sad that she is growing so quickly.

I had put buttons around the outside edge of the blankie so that later on she would be able to see which part was her bassinette, cot and single bed blanket but the buttons turned out to be a bit of a hazard, one of them broke in half and one fell off even though i (thought) i had sewn them on super strong. So I have taken them off and I will sew some smaller sized puffs to put around the edges.

In this photo you can see the cot sized blanket, and i'm not sure if you can actually see it in the photo but i have sewn the puffs for the cot in a huge rectangle to be sewn around the bassinette blanket. In the photo I haven't joined the two parts together yet, I will sew them together tonight but just for now I wasn't ready to take this momentous step... gosh! I must be turning soft!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-3178788955670654312010-03-08T23:25:00.005+11:002010-03-08T23:40:56.050+11:00ducky & friends nappy service

I am such a clever cookie that I have started a business that I can run from home...here's the link

There is no nappy service for this area so i'm jumping in and starting my own nappy service business. I want to blog more regularly, my aim is actually one entry a day. I really want to put photos with each entry though so this is usually what stops me from doing an entry, i have to take photos which i always forget to do during the day when the light is good...either that or i decide i want to take photos when steve is at work, but i use his iphone to take photos because we don't have a reliable camera, so when he is at work, he has his phone with him and i have no camera to use. oh well. i guess i just have to make myself remember to do it, either that or get over having photos with every entry.

This photo today is of a strawberry patch that imogen and i made in my backyard in an old wheelbarrow. I seem to have wheelbarrow radar these days!!! The council clean up is now on so everyone has put their trash on the street and everyone goes scavenging. everytime i go out i spot another wheelbarrow, i have been needing one for the yard work for a while now but they are too expensive to buy new. so now we have several second hand ones. This one i picked off the street especially for use as a garden and i transplanted one of our strawberry plants into it. i'm just hoping now that it won't go and die on me because it has been a fairly productive plant so far. it might need a bit more sun than what it will get in this spot. i think it is quite cute and looks good next to the garden bench that we also picked up from the council clean up.

Steve has been doing heaps of gardening in the last week, he has been digging out garden beds ready for planting new vegies. we will have to do some extra research into what will grow well in this climate, we get too many cold rainy days in summer so our tomatoes didn't have much luck. the garden is starting to look really good, its very exciting. i try to go out there every sunny day with beatrice and sit on the grass which is looking very lush under steve's care. and i'm really enjoying hanging out the clothes on sunny days too now that the yard is more inviting.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-20749419122498022532010-02-06T15:06:00.004+11:002010-02-06T15:17:09.331+11:00yoga baby
Steve took this photo last week. I asked my friend from work, Karen, if she would like to do a market stall with me at Rozelle and she loved the idea so all of us will do a stall together plus i think my friend cherrie will come for for the day as well. I put together these two suffolk puff cushions quickly just for fun to sell at the market. I am hoping we can do it in about two or three weeks time.

Imogen has been making fabric covered buttons and hair clips out of my vintage fabric scraps. She has made a really lovely display out of them, I think she should do really well with them, they are really cute. I mostly want to sell stuff from around the house but i have been doing a couple of easy crafty things to sell as well. I have painted a few face beads, the type that i put on the coat hangers, maybe they will sell without the hangers. It took forever to find the type of hanger that the hook would come off easily to put a bead on and now they aren't available anywhere anymore :( So I thought i would just try and sell the beads on their own for craft or for people to put on their own hangers.

I think Karen is going to clear a whole lot of stuff out of her house. It should be a fun day when we finally get around to doing it. I'm hoping it will be soon, my loungeroom is filling up with stuff to sell and i want to clear it out! Karen has a knack for coming up with market ideas so i think we are going to plan one for every two months, every market will have a different theme and we have to find stuff to resell or make things to sell using that theme. It will be a fun new hobby and will hopefully get me a little bit of pocket money!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-66482537209628720282010-01-17T22:56:00.002+11:002010-01-17T22:59:20.210+11:00my beautiful baby :)
i love this photo of beatrice, she is so beautiful.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-67842163531224095132010-01-17T22:30:00.005+11:002010-01-17T22:52:03.199+11:00more sewing
Imogen and I were going through my fabric collection and Imogen pulled out this piece of vintage fabric. I've had this piece for years, i think my ma gave it to me. It had been sewn into a pillow case but not finished. We decided to make a bag for Imogen since she hasn't had one for years and she has been using either a string shopping bag or a canvas library bag for at least a year now. We based it on a bag that Imogen favourited on etsy. I'm quite pleased with the end result, It is probably the neatest piece of work I have ever done...Actually, Imogen did most of the work, I instructed her. So I think she is pretty pleased with it too because she isn't big on sewing. She came around this morning to finish it off so she could take it tonight to a party in the city. I saw some cool tutorials of how to do smocking on youtube and got all inspired to make little dresses for beatrice. I only just got around to finally playing with my new toy last night though. I ended up staying up way past my bed time so that i could figure it out on scrap fabric. I think i kinda have the idea now, i would like it if there was a tute on youtube about how to incorporate the smocked panel into a dress though. i have kind of figured it out for myself by examining dresses i already have but i really don't know how to sew at all, i am self taught so i am pretty sure i sew everything the hard way.

I don't know if you are actually supposed to do this but i tried using elastic thread on the pleating machine to make shirred dresses. It kind of works but i don't know if it really makes it that much easier to do shirring, it does make it a lot neater though. I ended up making a shirred dress (using the sewing machine) for beatrice using one of my favourite vintage fabrics that i have had in my fabric trunk for years. She will obviously have to wait quite a while before she will be able to wear it. But this is the first item i have made using the shirring elastic that mung gave me two years ago. mung gave me a lesson on how to do shirring but i think it must have been the vietnamese version of shirring because the tutorial i found on youtube about shirring was different and more time consuming and involved more steps than the vietnamese version...but you end up with the same result so meh! i went with mung's way and it worked. It is possibly not as neat as it could be but shirring is very forgiving and little girls look cute in anything and i am pleased with my first effort anyway. don't you think the fabric is the cutest?Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-74787851256928052852009-12-25T22:02:00.005+11:002009-12-25T22:20:12.420+11:00chrissy present

Steve got me this cardigan for christmas. it's not a terribly good photo. it's a bluey grey kind of colour and there are two embroidered birds, one on either side at the top. It came from a shop in Leura. I am coveting a whole lot of clothes from the same shop and brooches too, they have really cool hand made ones of scotty dogs and bunnies.

Part of my present for Steve was two grape soda badges from the pixar movie "Up". Really good movie, if you haven't seen it yet, you should. Steve gave me one of the badges so now we are in the adventurers club together. I put my badge on Beatrice's joey pouch so that we could share it and she can be in the adventurers club too.

Otherwise, Christmas was really quiet. Steve worked over night last night so he got home at 7 in the morning so Steve and Beatrice and I slept all day cos we all needed to have some extra sleep. I had a couple of practice tries but I wasn't co-ordinated enough to hold her and make a print of her foot and not get paint everywhere so I had to ask Steve for help. I'm going to put the print in her baby album.

My plan for today is to scrub her cot and paint it. I have to paint it with oil paint so I want to do it now so the smell will be gone by the time Beatrice is ready to use it. I would like breakfast first though. It takes a loooooonnnngg time to make enough suffolk puffs for a queen sized bedspread. I'm not sure how many I have made so far, I'm too busy sewing them to stop and count them all, that sounds like a bit of a boring endeavour anyway :-) I have sewn 150 or so together to make a bassinette sized spread for Beatrice. The plan is that the quilt will grow with her as she grows. So when she moves into the cot i will make it cot sized and then single bed and then double or queen sized later on.

I was thinking of adding buttons to the centres of the puffs on the outer edges so that later on you can see which sections of the quilt were the original bassinette/cot/single sized sections. I have a whole tin of buttons that are never going to be used so this might be a good use for them.

On an aside, i really want to do some painted prints of Beatrice's feet before she gets much bigger. I think i'll have to do it while she is asleep and I was thinking i might need help for this project because it could get messy. Every night I keep telling myself "tomorrow", but you know, tomorrow never comes. Perhaps if i write it on here, i really will do it tomorrow.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-81270034380842453302009-12-20T12:53:00.003+11:002009-12-20T13:18:18.320+11:00It's Christmas :)
Yay! It's christmas! I haven't been this happy about christmas for a long time. I think it's more exciting with a child around...even though Beatrice is too little to understand, i can still enjoy it. We won't be doing much for christmas anyway this year. Ma has visited Katoomba twice already just in the last couple of months and she was here for at least 8 weeks all up so she won't be coming back down for a while. Imogen, Bobo and Harley will be coming over though. We are planning a relaxed afternoon with food and a couple of drinks and maybe some movies or something...just the way christmas should be, nice and relaxed (we aren't even doing presents this year, that's how relaxed this year is) Although i do have a present for Steve and i got Beatrice's christmas tree and santa photo like i said i would. So how do you like our christmas tree? It's only tiny, the perfect size for Beatrice. It will grow to 1m tall over ten years. The decorations came from the christmas shop at leura, i thought they were sweet.

Beatrice is doing very well. She is so cute! and very content. She slept non-stop for twelve hours last night, is that unusual for a baby only 5 weeks old? she stirred a bit at 4 in the morning so i fed her but she was still sleeping while feeding and then at 7 this morning i fed her again while she was still mostly asleep. She finally woke at about nine and she has kind of been dozing on and off. right now she is lying on the couch next to me talking to me and playing with the ipod cable.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-75257248956879417242009-12-07T11:25:00.005+11:002009-12-07T12:00:11.812+11:00I'm back!

It has been forever since i have posted anything on here. I have been really lazy, well kind of. I have been busy and just haven't had the energy to write anything when i have had spare time. My biggest news.............Beatrice has arrived! I am very in love with this little girl. She is so cute and perfect in every way! I will be sure to post lots of photos on here.

So my nesting instinct hasn't gone away yet, i'm not sure if it supposed to or not. but then again, i've always had a tendency to nest and decorate my houses even before i had a baby. I have been etsy crazy lately. i haven't bought anything because we are a bit broke and trying to catch up on bills but it's a great place for getting more and more ideas.

Mostly my ideas are based on decorating beatrice's room or on clothes for me. Now that i can get back into my clothes, i'm feeling a need for a revamp of my wardrobe. i decluttered quite a few clothes when i got back from hospital. all my clothes were looking terrible, i haven't bought anything new in years, half of my wardrobe was made up of painting and gardening clothes...not a very good look! I am planning a mini spending spree for next year, i am after a couple of dresses. I want steve to get some new clothes too. In the meantime, i am finally wearing the few nice clothes that i do have that for some unknown reason i have never got round to wearing. I think it had a lot to do with work being so messy...but now i don't have to work! yay!

Beatrice is also looking very cute in her clothes. she is vintage baby today. i've posted a photo of her vintage outfit, her booties that grannie gave her are the sweetest. I don't know what steve really thought of her outfit, he said she was very cute and started calling her vintage baby but i have a feeling he thinks i'm nuts!

Beatrice's room is still a bit of a mess. Although it is a lot better than what it was. It got really messy while i was in hospital because my dad and his family were staying plus i have a storage problem. Well, i did have a storage problem. It is nearly resolved now. There was a house around the corner from us that had a garage sale last weekend and i noticed that they dumped a whole lot of furniture that didn't sell on the footpath, so i sent steve around to steal the lowboy! haha! scummy i know, but we can't afford to buy me a linen cupboard so this is great! I can use it for the huge stash of linen that ma gave me. I am thinking i might paint it a pale colour, maybe very pale cream or green or maybe even pink? i'm not sure yet and then i may paint a cherry blossom tree or some birds on it. I will have to contemplate it longer to decide how i am going to paint it.

In the meantime, while i contemplate, i have a billion other ideas of thing that i am keen to try and make. A mobile for above beatrice's bassinette is one and a shadow box for her wall. Her room is going to keep me occupied for a long time!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5177877645235029143.post-70140359711942426372009-09-20T17:30:00.004+10:002009-09-20T17:43:08.202+10:00Mmm Mmm! Please note my new second hand glass jug. I no longer have to use the blender jug for making bubble tea and lemonade.

Bubble tea is super easy to make. But apparantly it is called bubble tea because you are supposed to shake it up which makes bubbles. It's not the tapioca bubbles that give it its name.
To make it, all you have to do is make some super strong black tea in your jug (I use 6 tea bags), sweeten with sugar, add milk and then add tapioca or sago that you have already boiled and rinsed. Refrigerate. Drink. And then drink some more!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
